Hi there! Welcome! Thank you for visiting my little shop! My love for crochet started at 8 yrs old. I would watch my grandma knit and crochet beautiful afghans, scarfs, hats etc... I wanted to learn how she made them. With patience, and eagerness, my grandma would sit and teach me how to read a pat tern, and how to create the basic stitches. From there crocheting became a favorite hobby of mine. It is my therapy to detach and create. I’m the crazy yarn lady you see at craft stores buying up all the yarn! Can’t help it! I love the rich colors, and textures. I usually don’t know what I will create until I see the yarn.
My other hobby passion is designing embellished trucker hats. The bling, and appliqués give the hats a unique expression. The more sparkle the better!
The loves of my life are my husband, daughter, and two goofy bulldogs. Also, I’m blessed to have amazing friends. They all have encouraged, and supported me to make this dream a reality.
My other passion is hairdressing. I’ve been in the industry for 23 yrs. I enjoy meeting new people. The best part of my job is making people feel good about themselves, and creating a look that fits who they are. That’s the vision I put towards Vanilla Paisley.
